Congress is on the verge of voting for a new Child Nutrition Act and the health of the nation’s children is at stake.

The House of Representative’s version of this bill, called the Improving Nutrition for America’s Children Act (H.R. 5504), would allow more children to have access to healthful plant-based options. However, Congress may reject it for a much weaker, stripped-down Senate version.

If Congress does not vote for the House’s version of this bill, we risk losing historic improvements in child nutrition programs, including increased funding for healthy food and more vegetarian options. Please ask your representative in Washington to pass H.R. 5504 before it’s too late.
