Dear PCRM supporter,
I want to tell you about two opportunities to support cruelty-free breast cancer research.
The Avon Foundation, a charity that funds cutting-edge breast cancer research that does not use animals, is hosting walks across the nation.
Please sign up for the nearest Avon Walk to support the millions affected by breast cancer. Invite your friends and family to walk with you. We'll provide banners so you can show your support for innovative research and promote Avon as a humane charity. To request a banner, please e-mail PCRM research program coordinator Rebecca Frye at rfrye@pcrm.org.
The Love/Avon Army of Women, a partnership between the Avon Foundation and the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, is another excellent opportunity to support—and be part of—the fight against breast cancer. Rather than using animal experimentation, this new initiative aims to recruit one million female volunteers to directly participate in research to better understand why women get breast cancer.
Please join this revolutionary movement—sign up for the Army of Women to be part of research that could eliminate breast cancer. If you are not eligible to participate, please help us spread the word by telling women you know about this initiative.
Health charities with the Humane Charity Seal of Approval support innovative nonanimal research, which is the most effective way to find treatments for human health problems. Thank you for supporting humane health charities.
Best regards,
Hope Ferdowsian, M.D., M.P.H. Director of Research Policy Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine
P.S. Please take a few minutes to explore the Humane Seal's brand new Web site.
